week 1
MAKE THIS MESSAGE WORK IN YOUR LIFE
Read Proverbs 3:1-12 on Monday and come up with your own question. Spend time contemplating the concept of control versus trust. In which specific areas do you trust God—forgiveness, salvation? Which areas of life do you tend to try to control—finances, work outcomes, family? Ask God to help you in discerning the next right move to make.
week 2
Recognize that you were lovingly and purposefully created by God. Embrace the truth that your life has meaning and significance. You were created in the image with God and he determines your value. Think and write about this: what areas of your life do your spend trying to impress others more than you should? How could you focus your more by living for an audience of one - God? Consider buying The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen and Anonymous by Alicia Chole.

week 3
MAKE THIS MESSAGE WORK IN YOUR LIFE
“...the real problem of the Christian life comes where people do not usually look for it. It comes the very moment you wake up each morning. All your wishes and hopes for the day rush at you like wild animals. And the first job each morning consists simply in shoving them all back; in listening to that other voice, taking that other point of view, letting that other larger, stronger, quieter life come flowing in. And so on, all day. Standing back from all your natural fussings and frettings; coming in out of the wind. We can only do it for moments at first. But from those moments the new sort of life will be spreading through our system: because now we are letting Him work at the right part of us. It is the difference between paint, which is merely laid on the surface and a dye or stain which soaks right through.” - C.S. Lewis. Take time this week to write down your own “wild animals.” Read Luke 10:38-42. Make time to pray in the morning.
